MERLIN almost ready for clinical validation

As the design of the MERLIN instrument is complete, the project enters a very exciting phase. A first prototype unit, fully integrated and equipped with a graphic user interface, has passed safety tests successfully. It delivers OCT, SLO, AO-OCT and AO-SLO images. After final calibration, Imagine Eyes will transfer this MERLIN unit to the Quinze […]

Clinicians try the MERLIN instrument at Imagine Eyes

MERLIN project members from Quinze-Vingts Eye Hospital visited Imagine Eyes last week. For the first time, they could use the MERLIN instrument, in its R&D version. The optical head did not have a cover, and it was not installed on medical-grade furniture. However the graphic user interface was already implemented. Thanks to that, the clinicians could […]

Dissemination at the i2Eye meeting

On October 12-14, the Innovative Imaging for Eye Disease conference (i2Eye) gathered a hundred speakers and attendees from Europe and North America.  Several speakers presented about multimodal retinal imaging as well as cellular and microvascular imaging using adaptive optics technology. They showed how it enables further understanding diseases such as age-related macular degeneration and retinitis […]
